Over the last 15+ I have had the great pleasure of building small but strong digital design and development teams. Catering to top tier brands and develop digital products for startups and house hold names alike.

My role has ranged from owning technical architecture and direction, hands-on engineering and product strategy. Proficient in a variety of languages and frameworks but currently most excited about Rust and performant UI engineering in TypeScript.

Driver

Technical Direction, Architecture & Engineering

Driver, a technology-enabled cancer treatment navigation and precision-oncology service, allowed patients to share and grant access to their medical records and tumor material in one of Driver's labs.

Developing a suite of patient applications and services.

The underlying infrastructure would organize and analyze the medical information, including molecular/tumor testing, and use software to identify potentially relevant treatments and clinical trials from partner clinics in the US, EU and China.

Individual applications were developed natively for iOS and Android, with backend services developed as Node.js services on top of Postgres.

Ongoing Care & Tele Health

Next to the core feature of matching patients with suitable clinical trials, we designed and developed complimentary features such as a secure tele-health feature for on-call oncologists and nurses. Patients in ongoing treatment or after a successful treatment could access on-going care features for monitoring their progress or health-risks.

Driver for Clinics

Completing the suite of applications, a stand alone application for clinics and doctors was developed for managing patients and clinical trials at their different stages.

Driver treatment matching flow across mobile screens
The backend infrastructure and application code was deployed on AWS and AliCloud individually for the US/EU and Chinese versions of the service.
