Over the last 15+ I have had the great pleasure of building small but strong digital design and development teams. Catering to top tier brands and develop digital products for startups and house hold names alike.

My role has ranged from owning technical architecture and direction, hands-on engineering and product strategy. Proficient in a variety of languages and frameworks but currently most excited about Rust and performant UI engineering in TypeScript.

Spotify Data Stories

Technical Direction, Architecture & Engineering

A product offering developed together with Spotify, allowing labels to reach the super-fans of artists with bespoke “Spotify Wrapped”-type experiences.

Highlighting their listening patterns and stats for a specific band, often tied to an artist's upcoming release.

Personalised Data Stories

Super fans received a personalised message from the band or label, inviting them to view their listening habits to the band or artist in question. The listening data was visualised in a variety of ways; by region, volume and song-types or eras.

The top 1% of the band's listeners received their exact ranking globally, regional top listeners were also presented with their data and the bragging rights that come with it.

The personalised websites were pushed in-app as well as viewable and shareable online.

Generated Summaries for Sharing

Personalised summaries were generated in order for users to share their data on social media platforms. User-specific assets were also generated for sharing on Instagram. With the success for the initial launches in the Nordics for bands and artists, the platform was extended to also cover audiobooks and later launched in the German-speaking markets.

Data originated from Google Cloud BigQuery but was later served isolated through a faster, nimbler MongoDB service.
